My first day as a blogger

Why is it when you look around wherever you are, you see people, people that tend to be with other people? In fact they are surrounded by other people, and if they are seperated from their group of people, then they feel like they are lost and don't belong because they are suddenly alone. I would say that friends are one's sence of security a lot of times today, a safety net, if you will. Surround yourself with other people that look like you, dress like you, think like you, and obviously act like you, then your faults will blend in with everyone elses faults. If everyones faults blend together a strange thing is starting to occur, eventually the problems, faults, or weaknesses look normal. Each person in the group of friends compares themselves to the other members of the group, if they match up one tends to feel like they are fitting in. So many people that I personally know, desperately want to fit in and be normal just like everyone else. If the normative source for happiness is lowered to merely fitting in, then what will ever be accomplished? In other words, if every person lowers their standards in life to being exactly like everyone else then how is there ever going to be any kind of improvement or development? As Christians we are to search the Scriptures for all of life's questions that arise. So lets do just that, Deu 26:18 says, And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments. Deu 14:2 says For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. Tit 2:14 says Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 1Pe 2:9 says But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. As you can see we are clearly supposed to stand out as fools for Christ being peculiar people. The definition of peculiar: distinctive in nature or character from others, uncommon or unusual, belonging exclusively to some person, group, or thing. (www.dictionary.com)
